The slim profile allows for a very comfortable feel in the hand. Allows for many angles to write for different writing styles. The pencil is lightweight and very well balanced allowing for long periods of writing comfortably. Solid construction with no wiggles or play in the mechanism. The long grip section is a great feature. The grip itself is perfect, not too rough like a lot of other pencils with metal grip sections which can be too abrasive for the fingers. The auto lead feed works great but it also means the lead pipe is always exposed. So care needs to be taken when storing the pencil. Finally the design and all black finish is just beautiful. Excellent build quality is noticed by quite front heavy pencil that is pleasant to hold and to write with. The self advance mechanism works flawlessly, however my personal preference is to write with lead extended past the sleeve end, therefore mechanism does not engage. My favorite pencil so far. This pen has a spring loaded metal nib sheathe that is required for the auto lead extension, but because of that the metal sheathe often rubs against the paper. Do not buy if you write at a shallow angle like a fountain pen or have a heavy hand. Moreover in-spite of the grip looking fantastic on paper, once your hands get oily or sweaty it’s very annoying to use. I quite enjoy it for taking short notes, and can use it in a pinch for longer writing sessions when nothing else is around and this pencil is always on hand. Only use pentel refill leads and other brand refills could cause the auto lead extension system to malfunction due to the micro/nanometer difference is lead diameter and composition. I really love mechanical pencils, and the concept behind this one is that as the lead is used, the metal sleeve retracts as well, essentially providing a protection from snapping the lead. On top of that, a single click advances both lead and sleeve allowing for an extended use period. Design-wise, the pencil is very handsome with a "tech" feel and vibe. The texture is adequately grippy, but not aggressive and If I did not know better, would think this was a fine pen. Does this pencil provide more value at $20+ that other mechanical pencils at way lower price point do not provide? The objective answer is "no", at the end of the day this is just a mechanical pencil. However, if there was ever a reason or need to have a pencil to be proud of, that accomplishes both value in its visual design, and value in its utility as a really great mechanical pencil, the price point starts to make sense. The pencil is heavily machined, and is also metal, so it will have a weighted feel to it that honestly is quite a welcome sensation when writing with lead. Overall, this pencil is perhaps more than any pencil really should be but that is okay here. Great to write with, great to look at, and certainly unique. Read more

c'est un joli crayon. s'il coûtait 5€ pièce, ce serait le meilleur crayon mécanique que l'on puisse acheter. seulement, il coûte plus de 30€ en promotion. et je l'ai vu listé à 55€. la partie automatique est sympa, ce qui signifie qu'on n'a pas besoin de pousser la mine graphite vers l'avant, mais je viens d'acheter un crayon faber castel qui fait la même chose pour 2€. bon, mais le stylo faber castel est en plastique. oui, et il est fait de plastique très bon marché. le crayon pentel est également en plastique, un plastique plus agréable au toucher, mais seul le clip de poche est en métal. la protection est très précieuse sur une mine de crayon de 0,2 mm, mais avec 0,5 mm moi-même je n'ai pas besoin de protection. et même ainsi, vous êtes probablement mieux servi par un del guard zebra à 10€. même à 10€, cela aurait été sympa. mais c'est vraiment trop cher pour rien. I first heard about this pencil through an instagram reel which piqued my interest. The video stated that this pencil was able to automatically advance your pencil lead when you're writing. I purchased this to test this for myself and I have a few thoughts! **You will probably be a bit disappointed if you purchase this only for the auto-advancing feature** Reason being-- it's not how you would probably expect it to work. The pencil writes all the way down until you reach the metal sleeve and begins to write scratchy. It does somewhat write this way but it is not as smooth or as intuitive as you'd probably expect. Instead how I found I write with this pencil is to press the metal sleeve against something (for example the side of the notebook) and it pushes out the lead a little bit enough to keep writing. I do this every so often and it allows me to continue my flow of writing without having to adjust my hand and advance the lead from the back by clicking the pencil. Honestly, I'm not enough of a pencil fanatic to mind clicking the pencil for the lead (haha) but I'm sure some people are here to purchase for this feature so I hope they will read this review first before purchasing! Other than the elephant in the room-- I love this pencil. The quality of it is great and the weight feels nice. I really enjoy using it and I always reach for this one because it's just plain fun to use! Read more
