I thought about masks and this one stuck out to me because i’ve tried the regular popular snail mucin bottle before so I would think the mask is more moisturizing- cause it’s a mask. I am new to this Korean skincare/beauty brand, but had read several glowing reviews, especially about the Snail Mucin Sheet Mask, I decided to give it a go. Up front, the mask is slimy which shouldn’t come as a shock given its main ingredient (96%) is the slimy secretion produced by snails. Best not to think about that, and no, snails are not harmed to extract the slime. Downside: Because the mask is slippery, it can be tricky to apply, and there is a lot of mucin, so much so, I apply the extra to my arms and hands. Even so, it can feel a tad sticky, but there is very little scent. Upside: One of the most hydrating, moisture boosting masks I’ve used, and my skin really does feel soft and look brighter afterwards.
