I did a *ton* of research before I chose this model. For the downstairs, which is all tile and hardwood, I use the Bissell PowerFresh Vac & Steam, and I love it. However, I have vinyl plank flooring throughout the upstairs of my house (four bedrooms and a hallway), and you can't use steam on vinyl plank, which is why I purchased the HF3. The HF3 has an open front, which means it can easily pick up larger debris (don't ask how Fruit Loops end up in my kids' bedrooms, just know that this easily sucks them up where other machines can't). It's lightweight, cordless, and with 30 minutes of battery, I can easily vacuum and mop the entire top floor of the house in one go. I love the self-cleaning feature. Emptying and rinsing out the dirty water container is a breeze. Because it doesn't use steam, it won't disinfect your floors, so if you're looking for something that can burn away germs in your kids' disgusting, tiled bathroom, or if you need a machine capable of melting away various food messes (jelly, yogurt, applesauce, etc.), I'd recommend the PowerFresh or the HydroSteam. The machine is quite heavy for daily use and the handle seems not able to withstand the weight. After 3 months use.. the water dispenser button broke and the handle had crack due to excessive weight. Send for repair and Bissel charged AED 200. Go for a corded one if its not a bother. Also you have to wait for 24hr after use as it takes time to dry the filter and brush. Also cleaning is difficult. I have the bissel crosswave hf3 cordless, and when i saw this at a good price, i was tempted and bought it. However, this does not even hold a candle to the hf3. This unit is bulky, does not clean well - does not have a great suction and just too heavy to use around the house. Returned it. I was trying to review the hf3 as well, but i am redirected here. So writing the same here. The HF3 is a wonderful vaccum as long as it works. I think of all the wet and dry vaccums it has the most sorted functionality that makes cleaning it a breeze. However, it is only as good as it is working error free. The minute you have an issue, they wont honor the warranty. Only pray that you have bought it from amazon as the seller, as of all the sellers on the marketplace, only amazon seems to care about its customers, and they might be able to give you a partial refund. However, the warranty sucks - there is a hose that is internal to the product and it tears off within a year, and BISSEL wont honor the warranty. If you are OK in purchasing this product and using it for a year and are OK in buying another one at the end of the year - GO AHEAD. If you plan to use it for a long time AVOID!! Read more
