I love this heating pad so much, I bought two for me, (one for travel, and as a back-up), and two more for family members. It is very soft and flexible, heats up quickly, and maintains the heat well. It has several levels of heat and can get very hot, and also has different time levels for automatic shut-off, or a "stay on" level. I actually use it every night on my pillow under my head, both for migraines and just to relax and help me go to sleep. It is so soft I cannot tell it's on my pillow. My family and I have also used it for our lower back pain and all love it. It closes securely around your torso. I did receive one that did not keep a constant level of heat.
