Nachdem ich mir bereits smarte Steckdosen für mein Apple HomeKit von Meross gekauft und vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis begeistert war (siehe: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B088Z1P45L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1), probiere ich mich nun an der Smart LED Glühbirne von Meross. Vorab: Bestellvorgang und Lieferung über Amazon wie gewohnt perfekt. Die zwei Glühbirnen kommen ergonomisch verpackt in einem kleinen Karton. Neben den Glühbirnen liegt eine Anleitung bei (löblich, aber aus meiner Sicht nicht zwingend notwendig). Einrichtung: Die Einrichtung verläuft denkbar einfach. Man öffnet die Meross-App und fügt die Glühbirne über das Auswahlmenü hinzu. Anschließend wird man (wenn man ein Apple HomeKit besitzt) zur Apple-Home-App weitergeleitet (wie es mit anderen Smart Home Systemen läuft, vermag ich leider nicht zu sagen). Mit dieser scannt man dann den QR-Code auf der Birne ein und schwupps... fertig! Auf jeden Fall auch für weniger technikaffine Menschen machbar. Leistung: Die Glühbirne lässt sich entweder über die Meross App oder über die jeweilige Smart-Home-App steuern. Die Einbindung in die Apple Home-App empfinde ich als sehr gelungen. So kann ich die Lampe per App und per Siri-Sprachsteuerung an- und ausschalten, die Farbe der Birne ändern oder das Licht stufenweise ändern. Toll! Die Farben erscheinen mir kräftig und warm, allerdings ist das ein subjektiver Eindruck. Für meine Zwecke sind die Farben jedenfalls perfekt. Preis: Wie bei allem spielt auch hier der Preis eine Rolle. Lange Zeit hatte ich insbesondere aufgrund der im Vergleich zu Alexa oder Google sehr teuren Komponentenpreise damit gezögert, ein Smart Home System mit Apple aufzubauen. Durch Meross ändert sich das. Wie bei den vorher von mir erworbenen Meross Steckdosen spielen auch die Meross Glühbirnen in der günstigsten Preisklasse (27,99€ für zwei Glühbirnen) mit. Trotz des vergleichsweise günstigen Preises funktionieren die Birnen perfekt, ich merke keinen wirklichen Unterschied zu meinen anderen, fast dreimal (!!!) so teuren Philipps Hue-LED-Glühbirnen. Fazit: Was soll ich sagen. Preis und Leistung stimmen, die Einrichtung funktioniert einwandfrei und der Kaufvorgang über Amazon läuft reibungslos. Como todos los productos Meross, son fáciles de usar y responden bien. Si te pasa como a mí, te costará un poco acostumbrarte a no volver a usar los interruptores de la luz, lo cual provoca que deje de funcionar un momento. Es decir, al tener que estar siempre el interruptor activado, si lo desactivas sin querer, pretendiendo encender la luz, se desconfigura. Pero la solución no es difícil, simplemente vuelves a pulsar el interruptor y esperas un par de minutos como mucho. Listo, no hay que hacer nada más (posiblemente volver a ajustar el color, pero nada complicado). Funciona genial con HomeKit y Siri. Además, con la aplicación Atajos del iPhone, puedes crear acciones que ocurran al decir una frase que tú decidas. Por ejemplo, “Oye Siri, quiero darle como un ciego a un rodapiés” y se ponen las luces rojas y música de Marvin Gaye en el HomePod. Como todos estos productos, sin un HomePod, tendrás que usar la app de Meross desde fuera de casa para controlar los dispositivos. Por último, la contra. Alumbrar, alumbran regular. A mí me vienen genial porque las he puesto en el dormitorio y va bien, pero me imagino que en una habitación más grande, seguramente, se queden cortas de potencia. Luego, no sé si es culpa de iOS o del software de Meross, pero si le dices a Siri que ponga luz blanca, el color que aparece es azulado. Si le dices naranja, te sale amarillento. Hay una opción desde la app Casa y Meross para que, en lugar de elegir color, elijas temperatura. Ahí sí puedes poner luz blanca (fría, para el techo en mi caso) o naranja (cálida, para la lampara de la mesa de noche) y, por supuesto, el brillo. MUY POCO INTUITIVO. Así que, si tu idea es parecida a lo que yo he hecho, asigna la temperatura que vas a usar normalmente a escenas desde la app Casa o crea la tuya con Atajos. Así, si un día quieres poner la luz de algún otro color, para volver a los colores normales no tendrás que hacerlo manualmente desde la app. Simplemente activas dicha escena y listo. Read more

So basically I need to redo the setup which is probably user error on my part I’m not sure. Do we let technology companies get away with substandard products that don’t cater to user needs? It was great when I bought it. Easy to pair but after a few days it stopped working. Good thing to note! It works with 2G wireless only which is way slower compared to 5G wireless that most of us have with Etisalat and Du. Another factor is, when you update your iOS it will stop working.
