I've used a handful of serums and this one didn't disappoint! I found this to be very calming to my skin and really hydrating. Though it can be a little on the thicker side, it absorbs really well. There's a little bit of stickiness to it after you put it on but it goes away once I put on moisturizer. There isn't much of a scent to it and has not caused any irritation since I started using it. I really enjoy how gentle it is and can see it strengthening my skin barrier. I haven't noticed a big difference in my redness but it's kept spots from lingering around. This ampoule is a little on the thicker side, however, it is very hydrating and lightweight. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and leaves my skin feeling very moisturized. It does leave a sticky residue but after everything else is applied it is no longer noticeable. There isn't a scent to it and definitely leaves my skin feeling calm and less red. Great Product. This AXIS-Y Artichoke Intensive Skin Barrier Ampoule is a nice serum/ampoule - but there really isn’t anything special about it? It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth, much like any Hyaluronic Acid would. But that’s about it. No calmness to any irritation that I had. I do have acne prone skin and it didn’t help with that (although it didn’t make my skin any worse thankfully). I just don’t think there’s anything special about it.
