I've seen reviews before that said the same thing, but I assumed people were hearing the laces slap the side of the shoe when they walked. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that it wasn't the laces. The material around the toe box actually makes a clicking/popping noise when it flexes while walking /running around. It doesn't do it all the time, but it happens often, and it's annoying. It's exactly the same model that I've bought twice before, that did not have this problem.
