To be clear: this is probably an overall 3-4 star keyboard, but I have to knock it for arriving broken. The TLDR: I’m not saying there’s a high chance yours will be broken, I’m not even saying there’s a moderate chance, all I’m saying is that I spent over $100 for a keyboard with a broken contact. I’ve already sent it into a local shop for repair and if it costs too much, I’ll reach out to customer support, but I don’t feel like shipping it out and having it gone for longer than it has to be. As for the product itself, I got the red switch model because it shipped faster and wanted to put Kailh Jades in it anyway. The reds came pre-lubed and sounded great (they also felt decent, though I like tactile, so I wasn’t a fan). For a plastic deck, the bottom out sound especially with linear switches is particularly pleasant, though it does sound somewhat less consistent and maybe a little cheaper with the Jades. Oh yeah, that’s another thing. The metal on the keyboard is just for show, it’s not even used to really hold it together, still, it does have a nice feeling to it. Pro tip: there is a switch on the side of the keyboard, or really 2, but the one that doesn’t look labeled switches from windows to Mac mode, which swaps the alt and windows keys. Make sure you have it in the right mode. I haven’t gotten to do a ton of testing with it yet since, well, the ]} key doesn’t work, but I liked what little I did get to try it. As for the picture, you can see the top socket is what they’re supposed to look like, but the pin connectors on the other one are sunken in. I cracked it open and sure enough it was hanging off the PCB. For a brand with this reputation, I am left a bit surprised, but I suppose it happens. Read more

I had the original K2v2 and its a great keyboard for work/productivity. But the switches weren't great so I decided to get the same K2v2 but in hotswappable version. This keyboard is in my opinion a slight improvement to the original K2v2. The keycaps have a different colour and the finish seems much better (more matte). It resist fingerprints better than the original version. Unfortunately the keycap shine-through isn't as good. The black keycaps barely allow any light through and it results in uneven backlighting. Other than this, the keyboard offers one of the best starter kit if you plan to mod it. The base is very solid, offers wired/wireless Bluetooth options, supports Windows, Chrome, MacOS and has a very large battery. If you plan to venture into mechanical keyboard hobby, look no further.
