Had alot of issues with loosing connection every often. Tried expensive Gaming routers did not make any difference as they are good up to one floor I believe. I have couple out door cameras and doorbell camra and had issues connecting to them. Kids were complaining for online school. After doing a lot of research i make up my mind for Netgear mesh system or TPlink Deco. I was already using Netgear router and extender and i love there products. Also i am fan of TP link as well for very long time and used there products as well. A friend of mine at work recommended me TPlink deco as well. Right after installation everything started working fine with full speed and never lost connection, apart of the usual Bandwidth throttling in the evening or weekends. Switching from 75mb cable to 300mb hi speeds internet. Very satisfied so far and will recommend this to anyone who lives in a house with 4 bedrooms with over 60 devices or more. (Supports up to 200 devices). Installed the units in the first floor cross the two corners on the first floor and it covers the whole house back and front and all 4 bedrooms with no more connections issues. Compre 2 paketes (es decir 6 m5), 4 en recamaras 1 en sala 1 en cocina, todos por conexion backhaul permitiendo que en cada área la velocidad fuera de 117 mbps (que es la velocidad máxima k da mi cable módem por cable ethernet) tomando en consideración que hay 50 mts entre el m5 principal y el más lejano (repito los m5 están conectados todos por cable ethernet, con 2 switch en el medio donde conecte además cámaras de seguridad, lo que no mermó en modo alguno la velocidad) , es fabuloso tener 6 dispositivos y que solo sea una red, que no haya ninguna intermitencia al hacerse roaming al m5 más cercano, solo me desepciono un poco que no mejorara mucho la señal en el caso de 1 dispositivo ya que estando pegado a la pared (forrada de azulejo) de 1 recamara y colocandome del otro lado de la pared (teniendo el router a menos de 1 m del otro lado de lanpared) se conecta mejor al de la cocina, lo k hace k estando a 1 m de ese m5 la velocidad fuera de 50 mbps (aún más que suficiente para reproducir cualquier contenido), además dependiendo de la línea de visión hay áreas del patio que si llegan a los 117 mbps, las áreas más remotas y sin línea de visión con ningún m5 llegan a contar con 25 a 30 mbps aun así son dispositivos potentes a pesar de su tamaño, lo que los hace discretos y bonitos mi casa es de 1500 m2 k podrían cubrirse con menos m5 (perdiendo mbps máx. Pero aún contando con cobertura, tener todos los mbps de mi servicio en cada área es gusto personal), e incluso quien quiera gastar menos puede adquirir otros modelos mesh tp link yo hubiera querido poner unos tp link x90 sin embargo es un desperdicio, ni mi servicio da esa velocidad ni mi red tiene tal necesidad solo 2 lap y 1 cel cuentan con wifi6, ni siquiera para un m9 por k tampoco tengo una Smart home, antes de comprar, cada quien debe analizar sus necesidades tal vez un e4 haga el trabajo para mi el m5 esta justo en el medio en relación calidad precio... Una cosa más, lo único que no me agrada de el M5 y asumo pasa con cualquier Deco de TPLink, es que si no hay internet, no funciona la red local, es decir que si tienes un NAS o una impresora en la red local, no podrás usarlos cuando se caiga el internet de tu proveedor, sin internet no hay red local, lo que no pasa con modelos viejitos de tp link donde haya o no internet la red local sigue funcionando y puedes imprimir o acceder a tu NAS. Debería solucionarlo TP Link o decir por qué sucede o como solucionarlo, por qué si se cae el servicio de internet, vas a tener que ir a dónde esté tu impresora wifi y conectarla por USB para poder imprimir Read more

Since I’ve been working from home for almost a year, I noticed my internet speeds to be slow and my wifi would constantly drop. At first I attributed this to my ISP not working well. I tried some wifi extenders which didn’t really help. I finally decided to look into a new router but most of the high end ones were expensive. But I happened to stumble upon this mesh system (dual pack). I liked the look of the devices and price was reasonable. After receiving the package, I was able to get internet up and running fairly quickly with the first device. I did have to reboot my cable modem and login to my wifi again (used same name) so that could have caused delay. Getting the second device installed was pretty fast as well and I put it near my work devices. A minor complaint was the three pack wasn’t available so I ended up buying another pair. I put one device need my living room tv and game machine. All the work is done through an app which is different than old days of using a web GUI. Since the install my internet speeds have been good and signals don’t drop. The devices let you create a main and guest network as well. I use the guest for my 2.4 signal for cameras and other devices that can’t use the newer band. One thing with mentioning: the devices have a blacklist feature but you can’t whitelist. So if some random device appears on the network you can will be notified by the app and then block it. You can’t just create a white list of devices. Some people may not like that. This has worked out really well for us. We live in a good sized 4 bed villa and had lots of places with weak or no wifi. We now get good coverage everywhere and in the garden too. It was pretty easy to set up using the app, I just haven't worked out how to switch my Alexa and Sonos over to the new network, I'll fix that when I have some time. Read more

Using in UAE: Once you get it up and running, it will work well. The application is often delayed in reflecting which units are up and running, but eventually gets it right. There is no support to speak of; emails go unanswered. One note: If you have ethernet wiring throughout your villa or home, and plug one of mesh units into a wall jack and it goes red, there may be a short in the wall which affects this particular unit.
