This pre-workout gives good energy (300mg caffeine) but it feels balanced. There are pronounced beta alanine tingles though so be aware. This pre-workout will give you a boost if that's what you want, if not you can have a mellow "easy day." Before Optimum Pre Advanced, I was using Hyde Signature (Extreme). It had over 400mg caffeine and it was the only pre-workout that really affected me at all. The downside was it really affected my sleep, even if I took it before noon. I think most people are familiar with ON if you’re in the fitness space. Always just considered this company “the protein company”. Their original pre left a lot to be desired. This one is actually really solid. I was an avid user of total war from redcon1 but it was always hit and miss with how my body reacted to it. Some days it did the job others it made me sick or it just flat out did nothing for me. This advanced formula gives me a nice energy boost. It definitely shakes off the sleepy feeling. It gives me a nice pump and the flavor is really good. I got the mojito flavor. It’s light and subtle and a bit refreshing with cold water. I’ve used many pre workouts over the years. This one I feel has given me the most consistent performance enhancements. Mixes super easy and delicious. Have this on subscription so I’m never out. Train usually 5 days a week hour plus and this works well for me. No jitters, great recovery, overall great product. Read more

For the first time, I used a pre-workout supplement (Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Pre Workout Advanced), and the difference was incredible. I was able to complete a full-body workout to failure without feeling dizzy. In the past, my workouts would last only 20 to 45 minutes before I ran out of energy and had to drink a can of Coke. I am lucky that the product is in date... But it only have 3 months left on it .. it so close to expiry that it might not be that effective plus I can't wait until my current one finishes because this one expires before the one I am using right now... Have the decency to sell it at half the price or even less or don't sell about to expire products at all... Read more
