I'm in love with these,, I used them for a week and omg they are damn good ... They are a very good and affordable start for beginners . And most importantly they are very easy to use and easy to resemble , it comes with a black pouch , some extra nibs and a usage manual . The upside: These produce a good thick paint in a good range of very nice natural colours. I like that the pen and the ink are similar colours. You get a translucent tube that lets you see the paint colour more accurately. This set has some softer colours which are missing from other brands, including a range of flesh tones. paint delivery: took some getting used to, as it is a hard nylon nib that must be pumped to release colour. These would be suitable for adding dots or thin lines to rock painting or writing on very hard surfaces. Now that I’ve practised a bit, these are pleasurable for colouring or painting on paper as tge paint flows from the nib nicely and they give you some extra nibs. I assume they might dry out and clog iver time, but may be soaked in warm water. I have found I have the best control for lines with these. You need to let the paint flow and not press hard. The paint can also be brushed with a watercolour brush over large areas or for blending while wet. I have tried four types of Ohuhu paint pens now, including the alcohol felt tip, their felt marker style acrylics, and the watercolour brush pens. Of all of them, these contain the best paint density and colours. These don’t bleed through the paper. These are similar to Tooli brand pens, which I also almost never use. These are better. These are lovely markers for the price. A firm tip that allows for very fine lines, or more broad strokes using it at a steeper angle. Vivid colors, the neons are REALLY bright, the metallics are nice - they have more shine on the second coat, make sure the first is totally dry. No bleedthrough on Passion Planner paper. Really, really nice. Only downside is that there is no accurate numeric labeling/color names like I expect from Ohuhu. Since paint color isn’t always pen color, it’s nice to have that to count on for consistency. The numbers on the lids were printed backwards, and some were repeated up to four times. Is this a knockoff set somehow? There wasn’t a swatch card, either, which has been in all of the alcohol markers of theirs that I’ve purchased. Read more
