I got two of this same brand mini bulbs for forest animals, and they were amazing. However, I purchased two of these for my desert snakes, neither one worked at all. I gave them a few minutes each, in case they needed to warm up or something. That didn't work, so I tried another lamp style, more shallow, they didn't turn on in those either. Works as it's supposed to, good quality and very bright. Lizard has been out and about more than usual, so she seems to be liking it. The last one I had was this same brand, same bulb, and it lasted way longer than it says it does, so value is bang for your buck! Doesn't emit any heat, just so you're aware of that though.
