Had a great time using them for airsoft. You can definitely hear subtle sounds much better. Some sounds get picked up better than others however, metal on metal banging, Rapping on wood, clicks and oil frying in a pan sounds pick up very clearly. voices, rustling of clothing do not pick up nicely. I have found that they do operate okay in windy conditions without picking up much wind noise but they do pick up alot of background noise and amplify it, making it very difficult to pick out specific sounds in noisy enviriments. that said they work really well when it is quiet. Oh, a fan in a room pretty much negates any hearing increase. Read more
