Came in on time, well packaged. It works well. There is too long hesitancy when first accessing the drive. But once you start working on it, it's fast. Next day, you start up and it hesitates a good minute before accessing the drive, but then it works like a charm. I can look past the initial hesitancy just wondering why it does it. This is a excellent drive, after one years of use never have any issue. Its fast(7200 rpm) load Xbox one X game a lot faster than the original drive (Forza Horizon 4 take 35 sec in quality mod VS more than a minute with the Xbox drive), easy to set up, stylish, a lot of space, top quality disk drive (its a Ultrastar DC HC320), work on every platforme, 3 years warranty and even faster on PC. You can play your game directly on it and it will not overheatvor have any other issu. But it not perfect, its big, need it own plug and can be a little noisy at time (not for a quiet room, me it in my living room behind my TV so when i play i don't heard it). Don't use that fo Xbox Serie X, you will probably only able to play backward compatible game directly one it, for Xbox Series X game you can only use it has a storage solution. To play game you will need to transfert your game directly on the SSD of the console, so not a perfect solution. I presume on PS5 it a similar story. The reason it the new console are built to take advantage of the SSD and its speed, and in comparaison this disk drive is 8 or 9 time slower than those new custom SSD. Read more

Tengo un WD MyBook de 4TB que compré hace años para mi Xbox; después de todo este tiempo prácticamente me terminé los 4TB del disco y 1TB del almacenamiento interno del Xbox One X, con más 300 juegos instalados. Viendo videos en YT de reseñas, WOW. En las pruebas de CrystalMark (software para medir el rendimiento) las velocidades de lectura y escritura de este disco son de 250MB/s, en comparación el Seagate son como de 150MB/s. Llevo años comprando HDD WD Black (alto rendimiento y gaming) y ninguno tiene esa velocidad, ni el de 5TB, ni el de 2TB ni el de 1.5TB que tengo lo igualan. Todo esto se nota en la carga de juegos que es mucho más rápida que con el disco interno, ahora el WD MyBook lo puse en mi PS4 (el cual tiene un HDD interno de 2TB) y también mejoraron los tiempo de carga (lo noté en Bloodborne). En mi opinión es el mejor disco Externo del mercado, ya sea para gaming o para trabajar con archivos muy grandes como de edición de video, francamente no recomiendo los discos externos compactos de 2.5" ya que al ser alimentados por el propio USB no tienen las velocidades de rotación de éste (7200rpm) y tampoco la velocidad de un disco de 3.25". Tested with CrystalDiskMark6, the result was very good, slightly better than claimed: 255MB/s r - 255MB/s w Seems other people were saying it's noisy but IMO the noise is more or less the same in comparison to my Seagate IronWolf 10TB, both are 7200 rpm drives. Now scanning disk surfaces, hopefully there is no bad sectors out of the box. Read more
