My mattress was looking like it needed a clean. Yellow sweat stains (fairly low to mild) but bit of a clean freak so wanted to clean it and remove the yellow marks. Looked at the reviews for a number of different cleaners and found Bissell, Portable Spot Clean Pro having some pretty good reviews. Also went on Youtube to have a look at the reviews and they also looked pretty good in terms of the results from what they were cleaning from carpets, to car upholstery to mattresses. It's very easy to setup. Started cleaning the mattress and couldn't get over how it was removing the yellow stains from the mattress. I used around 3 or 4 fills/goes to clean it (I'm very maticulous) and pretty much every time the waste container was full of disgusting dirty water. I couldn't get over how much grim and dirt was coming out of the mattress (and I'm a pretty clean and tidy person). The mattress has never been cleaned and is around 10 years old but in good condition. Still drying at the moment so will see what it's like once it's fully dried. I'm probably going to do it again maybe in a few months to make sure it's extra clean...probably in the summer when it can dry quicker. It left the mattress fairly damp (not wet) so will take a bit of time for it to dry. I can't believe I was sleeping on this mattress which was so dirty. I'll be now doing a clean at least once a year now on the mattress. Have bought a waterproof mattress protector as well to help prevent it getting stained again. I highly recommend EVERYONE get this. I watched YouTube videos, checked the instructions for operating. For the price I was a little disappointed. I filled the shampoo dispenser, it leaked. Opened and tapped base pin, leak stopped. Put dispenser container into position and it leaked on floor. Pulled out, reseated was good to go. Fitted the bigger head and turned on machine. This unit is very loud, not loud like a v8, add two more free flow exhausts and 2 turbos....crazy loud. Anyway, held the spray button, nothing. Released...repressed...nothing. removed dispenser again, pulled out pipe, sofly shaped to a u, and refitted everything. Tried again, all good. Now I am 53, bad back etc so down on the floor is hard work. Look, as a spot cleaner it definitely works. There is a knack to the back and forth to get the extraction right. I own multiple vacuums and carper cleaners (ocd), but this Bissell just feels lacking. After cleaning 3 fairly large dog stains, I felt like I had done a 2 hour workout....so perhaps I am not using or angling something correctly. After use, cleaning was fairly simple. Overall, it cleaned the 3 spots, not 100% however these are bad stains. But it's nowhere as easy as reviews and YouTube led me to believe. Read more

I have the larger green machine for my carpets, and it works great. So, I didn't hesitate to order this smaller version for my upholstered furniture. I purchased it in December of 2023 and it is now June of 2024 and I use this all of the time. It is effective on cleaning stains and removing odors as well as just freshening things up. It is light-weight and easy to set up and operate. We have two small dogs -- one is perfectly housebroken and very well behaved. The other one not so much. We had gotten her a few months before and THOUGHT she was ready to be allowed up on the couch. We were sadly mistaken. I was very worried because my furniture is still pretty new. Even though I had a thick blanket on the couch, some of the urine had gone through. This machine definitely saved the day. I cleaned it thoroughly, let it air dry, and repeated the cleaning the next day, just for good measure. I was a bit concerned that the brush head might be too rough on the fabric (it is a light grey in color and has a sort of velvety texture). But there was no problem with fading and no damage at all. There is no stain or smell -- I used the deep-clean antibacterial solution that was included with purchase. If I had only used it that one time, I would have considered my purchased to be more than worth the rather modest price. But, I have since used it many times and it still looks new and works just fine. I've used it to clean small areas of carpet when I didn't really need to get my full-sized carpet cleaner out. I've used it to freshen up our pet beds in between taking the covers off and laundering them. I've used it on the floor and seats in our vehicles. In fact, my daughter is using it on her mattress right now (spilled glass of iced tea). Clean up was a bit tricky the first time but now it goes very smoothly (I did watch the informative video from just a dad). I bought the Bissell Multiclean vacuum cleaner so I could clean the stained carpets in my car and it worked really well for that and ended up using it for the sofas at home aswell. There were 2 small bottles of solution included, one was normal cleaner and the other was oxygen boost which was enough to do the car and the sofas at home. It came with plenty of attachments for different things but I ended up just using the normal one which worked well. It also comes with attachments that you can stick to the machine to help organize the power cable and the hose for easier storage. Using the multiclean was pretty straightforward. You put the mixture of water (preferably hot as it can actually keep the water warm with the heating element in it) and carpet cleaner solution in the clean beaker. You can then use the button on the multiclean's hose to spray the mixture from the nozzle onto the surface ur cleaning. You then use a coarse brush to agitate the surface which helps lift the dirt and then you make passes over it with the hose to suck the dirty water up into the dirty water beaker. You can keep sucking up the dirty water until you get to a point where the vacuum will stop sucking in any more which means you need to empty the dirty water (it kinda caught me off guard a bit at first but it's designed to do that). All in all, I would recommend this to anybody looking to clean their vehicle's carpets or for carpet stains at home. Read more
