First of all this coffee maker looks great. I enjoy its style and it does brew coffee well. However, as with other reviews, the water canister is hard to fill due to not having enough room from the lid to pour with the coffee canister itself. also, there is a port inside the water canister, which I believe allows the air to exit from the level meter. If you fill the canister up to that point, water will leak out of the bottom all over your counter when brewing. And, lastly, like other reviews, the heating element does not stay on long enough. I like the coffee maker, but I wish I didn't buy it. The price tag needs to reflect the quality of the machine and it simply does not. I have had better coffeemakers for much less. I kept it to impress people who see it in my kitchen, the name brand is high-end after all. Let's be honest, why else would you spend the money? My Kuerig in college worked much better. My #1 complaint is that the coffee does not stay hot which is a big issue for coffee. #2 It pours out the side of the carafe when you pour it #3 It's not ergonomically designed (pouring in the water is like an advanced yoga move) #4 It's only a 10-cup pot, not 12 cups, which again given the cost simply doesn't jive.
