Ibanez has a winner here. Their quality control and manufacturing is very good even at this price point. Great for travel or a younger player. It travels easy on overhead compartment for international flights and tuning stability is very good. Intonation and action were spot on from the beginning no adjustment was needed. I would not recommend having this be your sole instrument to practice on as an adult player as the fret spacing and string tension have a very different feel under the hand, from a regular sized one. Other reviewers have mentioned fret sprout and yes it is there. I did not experience any real tuning issues but with the super light strings you can get carried away with deep bends 😁 Sounds pretty nice nice short scale makes it very playable. The intonation was a little off all you need is a Phillips head and it will be dead on Eventually I will do the fret sprout and for me that is all that is required PS: Did the fret ends I really need to upgrade the nut it is a string damper. I never had any guitar stay in tune with factory installed strings. After 52 years of playing guitar from 13 yo till now. I inevitably developed a string install and prestretch ritual that works pretty well. I had another one that I broke the headstock by accident so I bought this one. My other one had a walnut fretboard and only 3 settings with the switch. This one has the maple fretboard and 5 settings. It didn’t sound right so I took it to get it setup and at first they thought the frets were off. It turned out to be the strings that came with it. Once the strings were changed it sounded pretty good. It’s a really nice guitar for beginners and for the money. I personally bought it because I have short fingers and really bad arthritis. I only gave it a 4 star because it’s not as good as my old Gio. But I’m still happy with my purchase. It’s a very nice guitar for traveling or just to fiddle around with playing it while sitting up in bed. Read more
