I have encountered significant challenges during my month-long attempt to make this lens function properly. Upon its arrival, I discovered that it did not fit my ZCAM EF mount, despite SIRUI's claim of compatibility. Consequently, I had to send my camera mount in for servicing, incurring an additional £100 expense, only to realize that the lens itself was the source of the problem. Following a conversation with SIRUI's customer service, who were quite helpful, they suggested removing the stop pin located on the lens mount. I sought the assistance of a service technician, who removed the screw and determined that the lens's Canon EF mount had been poorly replicated. The only viable solution was to file down the lens mount. While this lens may function adequately on traditional DSLR EF mounts, it is completely incompatible with ZCAMS' mechanical mounts. Unfortunately, due to these frustrating experiences, I am unable to provide an evaluation of the lens's performance itself. I have no doubt that it possesses desirable qualities. However, it is imperative that companies invest more effort in accurately replicating EF mounts. The past month has been a total loss for me, resulting in the loss of several clients. In this regard, I wholeheartedly recommend considering the SAMYANG MK2, which offers similar performance at a comparable price point. Furthermore, it is worth noting that SIRUI would greatly benefit from establishing a support system in the UK. As it stands, unless one speaks German, contacting them becomes an arduous task. The Sirui Jupiter lenses immediately grabbed my attention for a few reasons. I wanted to level up my film quality, and these lenses did just that. Coming from the beginner Rokinons, the difference was huge. The lenses feel solid and well-made, not cheap at all. Plus, they all have the same filter thread size, which makes choosing filters way easier. I had some trouble finding the right filter, but I solved it by using a simple trick: a step-up filter. Basically, I used a bigger filter with an adapter, 92mm to 95mm stepup thread. And used a 95mm variable ND filter. Overall cheaper than buying a 92mm expensive ND filter. And let me tell you about the focus – it's smooth as butter with hardly any wobbling when you adjust it. Overall, the image quality blew me away. I even shot a short film with them, and the results were fantastic.
