I got this for my 5” fpv drone, and so far it was worked amazingly. I’m using it with the goggles 3 as well as the remote 3. The quality of the video is amazing, and it has a very strong connection. The first one I bought did have a transmission issue, but I sent it in for them to fix, and they sent a new one for free, over the course of 8 days. There is a twelve month warranty is something is broken, as long as it is an internal error. Any physical damage from flying will not be covered. As previously stated, the connection is great. You can fly far, and you rarely have to worry about going behind buildings and whatnot. The camera is very proprietary, in that few drone frames have the screw holes needed to mount the camera. I had to design one myself. You will begin to see more and more drone frames for this air unit though. In summary, this is a surprisingly good unit. The image quality is just amazing, compared to other HD FPV systems, I also find the range to be much better compared to some of the other systems, this is my first time using the DJI FPV system and I definitely don't regret the change so far, at least for my style of flying, these are great. The downside is when you get a signal loss, its very disconcerting when the image goes static, other systems which break up the image you can still roughly see where you are. This has to be the worst part of the system but the penetration is so good that the image break up is much rarer. If you are after a high quality image in both the goggles and the DVR which is very close to an action cam without the additional weight then this is the system for you. I know the race mode is supposed to bring down the latency but it also brings down the image quality so I’ve not used/required this mode yet. Read more

I have been experimenting with its main competition lately and there is just no comparison it’s soooo much better then its closest rival that it’s like comparing an apple to an elephant. The dji stratosphere is so well built that everything is seamless and just works! And works AMAZINGLY well! The video from these things is absolutely incredible and unrivalled. Penetration and range…holy #€\^ it almost goes farther then elrs allows…almost…haha but that’s built for 25-30 km so again apples and elephants 😜. I hope this helps anyone if they’re on the fence between systems but it might cost a little more—but that is 100% for a reason. Read more

The image quality from this system is amazing. There is no need to carry an action camera on the FPV drone anymore. Recording onboard at 4K should be sufficient for the average FPV pilot. The Rocksteady stabilization is actually pretty good, but for best results, leave the stabilization OFF, and use a third party tool called GyroFlow. The functionality of placing this in an easy plug and play fashion of an FPV drone is amazing. It is still a worthy upgrade even if you already have the DJI 03 system.
