Why did you choose this product over others?: I was disappointed with OTHER alternatives because they just didn't do the job. This one sits perfectly on timbales and snare drums and offer invaluable versatility to your marching rig. Tambourine sounds ok but cowbell tends to resonate and give a tinny sound to your drum so maybe some kind of dampening on the actual part where the mount sits on the drum or around the L-post is in order. Maybe some inner tube rubber or some kind of layered fabric? I haven't tried yet. Still worth buying because if you're part of a marching ensemble the extra options that this offers outweighs any possible distraction that you might feel. I'm sure the audience won't notice if there are enough of you. The L-rod is a little short but you can buy different ones and tailor it. Read more
