I had some troubles getting it on, but I’ve never done something like this so I can’t blame the manufacturer. I thought I got black but I instead got carbon fiber (not sure if real) but it ended up looking better than a solid black. I haven’t tested it yet, and I hope I don’t have the need to anytime soon. They look good and keep the brush off you. However if you pay the bike over they’re bent. If not broke. Prior to buying I did see the reviews saying the bolts rattle out. I used orange lock tight and probably over stressed the cheap bolts a little to make sure they didn’t rattle loose and I think they still worked loose Read more

Off the bat, noticed they were of a very sturdy material. There was extra adapters to make sure they fit properly into the sides of the bars, as well as extra sizes for the mount towards the center of the bar. The flags themselves were a bit loose when i got them, also a bit flimsy but not too too bad. The high quality of the metal material used outweighs the flimsy flags. Very secure overall. Took a bit of extra time to get them even, but hey thats what you get for buying a universal kit. There is a good amount of modularity and different angles you can install them in. For the price, these are hard to beat. Ive had other bikes with name brand bark busters that felt cheaper made than the jfg ones. Took it on a local trail, over jumps, wheelies, you name it. Havent budged a bit. Few branches smacked em, no cracks in the flags and did the job protecting my hands. Granted havent been down with them, but do trust that they will keep their form and protect my levers/hands. Only small complaint I have with them was there was a small gap inbetween where the bars are, and the inserts. Would have prefered them to be completely flush, but not that big of a deal to me.
