I don't know if it's because I have pretty small hands, or that they're old with lots of arthritis, but I did have a pretty hard time working that lip of the pad all the way around the headphone gap without it slipping - and rotating itself back out again. First one I managed to get done but I was pretty sure I was going to damage the second one if I didn't find a solution, and the youtube vids pretty much just say "Hey, this is a piece of cake." Well, it wasn't. NOT the fault of the Geekria design - it's an exact match to the original. We'll chalk it up to my clumsiness (and one of my careers was as a Jaguar mechanic, so I kinda know how to put fussy things together). Simple answer: masking tape. I've included a pic to show how I used the tape. (It's done - I just pulled them back out to show how to stick the tape.) I first tried wrapping it around the pad and HD 4.50 - nope. Just get it started - per other demos I started at the top - and stick about an inch of tape as shown. Slip a bit more of the lip into the gap and stick another short piece of tape on, etc. etc. until you've gone around. I managed to finish the last about two inches without any more tape. I did find their cute little tool handy to pull the lip out to the gap. If you're a fixit kinda person you'll have a roll (or five) of this stuff in the garage/shop/closet/junk drawer, but if not, any hardware/big box/discount store (or Amazon) will have it, it's cheap. "Scotch" tape might work - but it's not very sticky; duct tape will be WAY too sticky. I've loved the HD 4.50BTNC, but the pads just started to come apart on the inside, exposing the foam. The Geekria pads, as noted in other reviews, are a bit softer. They look flawlessly constructed and appear to be a precise copy of the original design. THEY'RE GREAT. Read more

My original pads were wearing out and I needed to replace them. These pads were of a similar build quality and are easy to install. I recommend following the video in the product description or just search for earpad replacement for whatever headphones you have. I have the Senheisser HD 450 ANC. Took all of about 5 minutes to replace the pads once I watched the video. Highly recommended. Read more
