First let's clear the fuss over gas and no gas deodorants; this debate is hyped, but the ones with gas has a greater reach, primarily due to air aid it uses for the thrust. On the other hand, no gas is more liquid and still it needs the nozzle to ooze out, simple physics. This deodorant, err, cologne from ustraa sports a 0% gas logo and functions like other no-gas deos in that respect. Now, what do we mainly look for in a body spray? The scent and the persistence of the same. In the latter, ustraa scores big. A few sprays will leave a long lasting smell of the cologne and does easily last for nearly all those hours you're outside for work. Now, don't expect to work out extensively in the gym or run a full marathon and still expect the fragrance to hit sixes overshadowing the body odour. Having said that, it's a cologne, or in simple language, a 'body' spray and isn't meant to be used as a perfume, i.e. on clothes, although quite a few people actually do that. But we do have perfumes for that, don't we? But I did test it by putting it on my shirt and it did a remarkable job in that too, pertaining to the persistence of the fragrance. Now, coming to the most important aspect, the smell. This is where ustraa falls shy of the crease and the smell is nothing extra ordinary, but good to say the least, but it's undeniable that there are better choices available in the market when in comes to the scent. Now,coming to the pocket pinch, 499 for a 100ml body spray is something that may be the biggest hindrance in it's path of success. The price bracket signifies, it is targeted to a little affluent section, and targeted to adorn the shopping mall shelves, rather than local stores, but for that, the performance and the packaging could have been more eye catching and better. I have been using Ustraa Cologne Base Camp for a quite long and to be very honest I am extremely satisfied with it. Going by the positive trend it set, I went forward and ordered the next fragrance – Ammunition. The can got delivered in a full plastic wrapped packing in addition to Amazon’s expertized packaging. This ensures the freshness and non-usability of the product which is missing in many colognes nowadays. The fragrance of Ammunition is stronger when compared to Base Camp, and thus makes a justice to its name. Although the scent is stronger, it is nowhere near to being uncomfortable and thus a very good use for one who does not prefer harsh perfume. Apart from that, it has a decent longevity of more than 6 hours which is well ahead of Cologne standards, being even more than Base Camp. Following the trends it set, the Ammunition, too does not contain any harmful chemicals and devoid of any gaseous contents. Upon pressing of the nozzle, you will get small bursts of “liquid”.
