So I am slowly working my way through every protein powder sold on Amazon, at least sold in 3lb+ tubs, just to get a sense of what's out there. Been doing it for almost ten years now. I have just one scoop, six days a week, usually w/ 5g creatine and ~10g psyllium husk fiber. I don't have a lot of mass, I'm ~5'10 and 183, not a body builder, just staying fit. This powder - Maxler 100% Golden Whey Protein - is solidly middle-of-the-road. Decent protein content, no protein bitterness, no gastrointestinal issues, okay consistency. I've had better, I usually say Isopure Zero is my preferred supplement, but if you just want a decent protein powder for maintaining bulk, this is probably a good choice. This sort of powder will smell if you don't wash your shaker well, so be sure to do so, and give it a spray of rubbing alcohol, both the cap and the cup. Should keep things clean. Flavor-wise - this is the first time I've ever purchased a fruit-flavored powder, I went for the blueberry because, you know, YOLO and all that. It is as expected - synthetic and overly sweet. I don't hate it, I intend on finishing the powder, but I don't think I'd recommend it either. Just basic vanilla or chocolate seem to be the best way to go, at least for me. So would recommend as a decent maintenance powder. Read more

I did not like the Blueberry flavor at all. I wanted to love it but NOPE! I may have to return it if I can and get my hard earned money back. I did like the Strawberry Banana flavor though. They do have fruit and vegetable juice color for coloring and the am here to say NO protein powder needs color. None do! I hope the new Administration, RFK Jr., changes this crap. Read more

Any protein powder I can find with digestive enzymes in it and decent pricing is a win in my book as long as the flavor is okay. This checks all of those boxes and going forward I will be getting this protein powder almost exclusively as long as the price stays reasonable. The I have had zero digestive issues and the chocolate peanut butter protein is what I purchased. I can say it doesn't exactly have any sort of peanut butter taste, but the taste is akin to a cocoa pebbles flavor and that's fine by me. Read more

I've tried the vanilla, the banana, and the strawberry banana, as well as the cappuccino flavor. They are all good, but the cappuccino flavor is soooooo good! I use water, a little bit of creamer, and some flavoring drops and it is awesome! Read more
