(UPDATE to previous review.) Two days later I ordered another one of these bad boys. I use it for my work and home laptop. Same quality, same sound and same satisfaction as with the first speaker. Love this little guy. I paired it with my wife's and the quality of sound was amazing. The instructions to pair are not entirely accurate. I would watch the video instead. Not complicated but the video method works and is easy to follow. I haven't fully taken advantage of the portable feature (speaker on the go) but I can easily see that it would be convenient and effective. Do it! You won't be disappointed. Believe the hype! I looked over the reviews and was impressed by the responses. The images showed it as well-made and durable. I like that it's waterproof as this would be a shower speaker for my wife. Her current speaker is tinny and super low quality. For $30 I figured I couldn't go wrong. It arrived well-packaged and with a 50% charge. It connected to our phones easily and quickly. We are thoroughly impressed with the sound. This little guy packs a punch. My only word of caution is you cannot custom tune this model with the SoundCore app. It appears this is the only model not supported. I'm happy with the stock preset so it really wasn't an issue. Je cherchais une petit enceinte qui prend très peu de place pour la brancher en filaire sur un PC fixe à mon appartement. Je n'ai pas la place pour un kit 2.1 et je cherchais juste à avoir un peu de son (mon écran n'ayant pas de haut parleur). Cette Soundcore 2 est vraiment géniale pour remplir ce rôle ! Je peux avoir un son correct sur mon PC le tout sans prendre de place et ça ne gênera pas les voisins :) Le son est bon, le Bluetooth marche bien mais le gros plus c'est l'entrée 3.5mm Jack, vous pouvez donc la connecter en filaire à un PC ou une TV (testée sur TV c'est agréable aussi, le son est bien plus chaleureux qu'avec les hauts parleurs intégrés) Les basses ne sont évidemment pas transcendantes mais pour moins de 40€ on ne peut pas tout avoir (et je cherchais justement une enceinte assez discrète !). La batterie est assez exceptionnelle aussi, cela fait une semaine que je l'ai et je ne l'ai même pas encore rechargée. Je ne l'utilise pas en extérieur mais elle a l'air solide, le revêtement est agréable et la grille protège bien l'enceinte. En revanche même poussée à fond le son ne sera pas extra fort, donc en extérieur c'est bien pour une table de terrasse mais elle ne suffira pas pour une pool party par exemple. I have a few synthesizers. Some full size 80s beasts some small desktop units, Volcas, Arias and a few Behringers and while I can route them all through DAWs and analog mixers, sometime I just want to turn them on and play without setup time or headphone. This speaker is perfect for this. The internal battery and small size means I can move it around the studio easily and with the aux port plug it into anything with a headphone out. Great sound from a tiny unit with a range that copes with drum machines, groove boxes and synths. This is one of the most useful bits of audio kit I’ve bought this year, and so inexpensive. I was looking for a waterproof speaker, primarily for use in the shower, and I saw this one amongst no-name brands. I have used other Anker products before and am reasonably assured of their quality. This speaker continues that. It is well made and with the rubberized outer case seems up to the task of taking the occasional tumble. That said, this kind of rubber coating I've seen before that over time without proper care and sun/heat exposure can degrade (get 'gummy'). As new, it's good and makes for a solid grip and I plan to treat it well (time will tell on how it endures). Sound-wise, I am somewhat impressed. Usually compact speakers are tinny highs and muddy mids and do poorly on the low end, but this one is not like that. The sound is bright without being tinny on the highs, has nice mellow mids that aren't muddy, and decent low end for the size. It doesn't reach to deep end lows like the dedicated sub I have in my car, but it gets low enough to hear a good beat. From my own testing, the cutoff seems to be about 80Hz (E2, lowest note on guitar), below which it quickly drops to inaudible by 50Hz (G1). Probably not meant for deep bass tracks. For the controls, I like the raised buttons on the top, making easy to find the right button without looking. The controls themselves are simple and straightforward - Power, Vol Dn, Play/Pause, Vol Up, BT Pairing. I did find a feature that is not documented, the ability to skip Forward by press Play 2x (quickly), and skip Backward by press Play 3x. I saw other reviewers saying they wish this had Fwd/Rev, but it actually does have it, just not documented. (I've noticed the 2x and 3x pattern in other BT devices so I tried it here and it worked!) Battery life is so far so good. I've had this for 3 days and have had it playing for several hours over that time and it still read 70%. I received it with 50% charge (typical) and it must support fast charging because after a little over an hour on my phone charger (USB-C) it was up to 100%. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. Getting it cheaper on AZ lightning discount was a plus. I might get a second while the promo is still on. Read more
