I have never owned a carpet cleaner or pet spot cleaner so I have nothing to compare it to BUT as a pet owner of many years (and many messes), this little Bissel has changed the game. The dreaded cleaning of messes is now "I know what to do and let's get to it." I was worried about where to store it but the compact size makes it easy to put on the shelf in the wash room. It came with sample size cleaning solution which works well. It's not quiet so I wear earplugs when using. No wheels but if needed could set it on a plant roller if you have multiple spots to treat and don't want to lift it. I bought the Bissell Multiclean vacuum cleaner so I could clean the stained carpets in my car and it worked really well for that and ended up using it for the sofas at home aswell. There were 2 small bottles of solution included, one was normal cleaner and the other was oxygen boost which was enough to do the car and the sofas at home. It came with plenty of attachments for different things but I ended up just using the normal one which worked well. It also comes with attachments that you can stick to the machine to help organize the power cable and the hose for easier storage. Using the multiclean was pretty straightforward. You put the mixture of water (preferably hot as it can actually keep the water warm with the heating element in it) and carpet cleaner solution in the clean beaker. You can then use the button on the multiclean's hose to spray the mixture from the nozzle onto the surface ur cleaning. You then use a coarse brush to agitate the surface which helps lift the dirt and then you make passes over it with the hose to suck the dirty water up into the dirty water beaker. You can keep sucking up the dirty water until you get to a point where the vacuum will stop sucking in any more which means you need to empty the dirty water (it kinda caught me off guard a bit at first but it's designed to do that).
