I read up on a lot of the different microphone arms available. For these cheaper ones, people often complained about them being less sturdy, noisy, or breaking easily. I got this about two weeks ago. So far, it's done everything I've expected it to be able to do. It was easy to install and manipulate. No noise at all when moving it. It seems reasonably sturdy and holds my mic where I want it without moving. Obviously for professional podcasters or musicians, then this arm might not be sufficient quality. Hi! Ive had this mic arm for 3 years now (insane) and it holds up pretty well! It got a little squeaky if you adjusted it i would say after a year maybe. But its really good for the price. I never realized i never left a review but im finally back to look for a new mic arm after year 3 as it has started to not grip my desk very well and it falls off. Not sure if that’s because i got a new desk that is glossy though, so be careful if you have an Ikea desk like me! If you desk is wood and has some of that wood grain it works really well since the clamp will have something to grip. Overall its pretty light in terms of weight and once you mess around with the knobs its stiffness doesn’t really move. This worked really well for my hyper x quad cast! Would recommend! Read more
