So this stuff is amazing! I've suffered with sweaty armpits and embarrassment for 25+ years, so basically as soon as I hit puberty. I'd sweat even when I wasn't hot. Summer time was my nemesis and a night dancing was tricky finding the right top that wouldn't show sweat patches. I'd constantly be checking if I was damp or smelly. Often needing to change my top during the day. The doctor recommended an antiperspirant containing aluminium chloride and I went for this one. Well... it changed my life within days! Like the other reviews state the first few times causes discomfort, like a prickly stinging sensation and as this needs to be applied at night it can cause sleeping problems but I overcame this by putting it on just as I was falling asleep. I used it for 3 nights in a row, then every other night for 6 nights, then down to twice a week and now once a week! This drastically helped my underarms sweat less. As the other reviewers mentioned, clean hairless underarms is a must. The instructions mention to not apply it after I shower but I accidentally did that. However, it does not make a difference whether you applied after a shower or not. As long as your armpits and dry and hairless. I wait for it to dry a bit before putting any clothing. I did not experience the burning sensation but my armpits were a bit itchy, but manageable. I was always self conscious about my sweaty armpits, but since using this, I'm not applying my regular deodorant as frequently, my t-shirt armpit stains are no longer there and I smell like nothing! Okay so I have never written a review before but I want to leave my opinion on this; i've tried a bunch of different dove deodorants, i've tried the hello brand. i've tried antiperspirant ones, i have tried ones with no aluminum, etc... i have always struggled with my armpits and ONLY my armpits being sweaty. as a woman in her 20's, you can imagine how embarrassing it is. I was scared to wear my nice tops and let alone outside. Even if I sit in my room doing nothing, my armpits sweat. If I go outside? No matter how little or a lot I put, I would sweat and get stains on my shirts. After a ton of looking around I had this one wishlisted for awhile but never bought it until about two weeks ago... I waited a bit to give opinions as well. But today sealed the deal for me. I went outside for multiple hours through rainy weather that then turned hot and while I sweat elsewhere; i did not sweat a single time in my armpits. I wasn't afraid to put on a nicer shirt today, I even went to the fitting room and freely tried on shirts without being worried or embarrassed my armpits would ruin them. This really works! JUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!! A lot of the bad reviews are from people who put this immediately after a shower or shaving. I followed the directions and did not experience any harsh burning, itching, or bruising. At some point my armpit did burn slightly- I won't lie. That is because I did three swipes. It wasn't a painful burn and went away after about a day. This week I went with two swipes and I think it depends on your needs and how much you sweat- but two was perfect for me. No irritation, no burns, no darkening, and I was able to go out and be sweat free. My last thing I'll say is that I see other reviews that say they put other deodorant on top as this one doesn't smell like anything. I would recommend that too. The first week I was too afraid to mix and match. The first few days I didn't sweat and had no smell- fine by me. But by the end of the week it was beginning to smell and sweat again. This week, after it was dry, I decided on two swipes of the usual dove one I was using and it's worked for me. Certain dri keeps me from sweating, dove has kept me smelling nice. For the price, I can't complain. Again, I've tried $10+ deodorants, I've tried cheap ones, brand name, random drug store ones... I will never go back after using this one. If you are like me and scared to wear your nicer clothes and excessively sweat, try this out. Just again, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. This is NOT meant to be put on right after a shower like other ones. This can be your best friend if you follow instructions and use it lightly once a week. I'm looking forward to see how it holds up for me during the summer but so far, it's worked wonders and my confidence is going up being able to wear all the nice blouses and shirts I've been holding onto for this day where I found a deodorant that contained my sweat! I’ve always struggled with sweat stains that I never wore any other color than black , this helped with my sweat stains and even the smell , it holds on for a whole week with no smell or stain , just be careful don’t use everyday cause it clogs your pores and don’t use immediately after shaving cause it stings. I live in tropical conditions and sweat a lot. driclor used to be my weapon to combat this but its effectiveness reduced over time and I decided to try out Certain Dri. I must say that my sweating stopped simply by using everyday strength clinical deodorant and anti-perspirant (I didn't even need to use the prescription strength clinical for my sweating to stop). that being said, prescription strength clinical has worked very well and does not cause any itching for me during my night use. I bought this antiperspirant over a year ago and I'm still not fully out. This is by far the most effective antiperspirant I have ever used. Best effects are when you apply at night. I literally only need to use it every couple of days even with showering. HOWEVER it can definitely make your arm pits itch and even burn, especially when using it after shaving. I do not recommend using this after shaving and will use an alternative at these times. I typically only use this in the summer as it's just not needed for me in the winter. It's also great for special occasions to make sure you are good to go. I literally will not sweat which in turn means no odor. The product itself has no scent. Sweaty underarms were my biggest insecurity and no antiperspirant could do the job until i got this. It’s very effective and here’s a few tips that you could follow. 1. Make sure your underarms are not very hairy and shave every 1,2 weeks for this product to reach your skin and be effective. Hairy underarms lead to more sweating and bacteria build up anyway. 2. If you just shaved wait atleast 12 hours and don’t use a lot of the product. You’re going to feel itch and burning sensations but that’s normal. 3. In the beginning use it 2 times daily.
