Great product so far. What I noticed was lacking in the reviews and was questioned a couple times was it's ability to function properly on pre-OBD2 vehicles. So I plugged it into my 1991 mercury grand marquis using the provided Ford adapter and it worked great. It pulled up an egr code, it also showed that the IAT and ECT sensors were reading cold before the engine got to operating temperature (it was -25 that morning) which they should be reading to provide proper fuel to warm the engine. I haven't delved much deeper (it's cold outside..) But once I have the chance in the shop to give it a good once over I'll leave another review with updates. Update: I've had some time to play with this a lot more. To be brief, I've ordered the heavy duty module to expand its capabilities for even more use. I work in a heavy duty shop, my passion is automotive. So for this piece of equipment to be able to do both is beyond measure. The single greatest thing about this scanner so far is the ability to walk around with the tablet, which is very sturdy and impressively fast, to be able to actuate many parts while right next to them. It's especially handy when checking lights quickly, I can actuate the lights using the scanner instead of getting in and out of the vehicle. The help files could be better, however, there is an option to report to Launch when the help files don't exist or are underwhelming. They do get back to you and update often. Overall, single greatest tool in my arsenal. And the price point absolutely cannot be beat. If your an avid hobbyist or a shop mechanic, this is the one. Read more
