I ordered this product because I was experiencing thinning hair entering into the "change of life". I had read that Saw Palmetto was helpful for this, but wanted to be sure I was taking a formulary for women (Saw Palmetto is most commonly taken by men for prostrate health). I have been taking this supplement for about three weeks now & I am noticing a difference. I am seeing new hair growth, which is great, and & am not experiencing any side effects of note. Some women taking this product may see an increase in growth in some places you'd rather not (like your face), but if losing your lovely locks is a concern, this is a minor inconvenience as far as I am concerned. I do notice thought that if I forget to take this for a day or two I do experience hot flashes again. As Saw Palmetto increases & balances estrogen for women, if you are post-menopausal as I am you may (or might not) experience the same if you stop taking this supplement until your levels drop again. The capsules were easy to swallow, left no funky aftertaste & had not funky smell in the bottle. Win-win for me. The only minus (which is really more about personal preference) is I wish they were contained in GLASS instead of plastic. I purchased this to use for female hair thinning. I have only taken it for two months so it's too soon to see any regrowth. However, it hasn't gotten worse, which is good. I haven't noticed any side effects and the capsules are easy to take. One thing to note, the product in the photos is not the one I received.. The one in the photos has other supplements added and only provides 30 servings (3 capsules in a serving). The one I received has only saw palmetto and 100 servings per bottle, which I did like. I intend to continue to use this for a while. If I begin to notice any regrowth, I will update my review. Edit: The manufacturer reached out to ask about my concerns. I asked them if they had changed the formula or if I had reprieved the wrong product, since my bottle didn't match the one in the photo. They explained that they recently upgraded the formula, adding other ingredients in addition to Saw Palmetto. At the time I made my purchase they were still selling the old formula (Saw Palmetto only). I have been using this product for over a year now, and have experienced continual results with less hair loss and thinning, and are seeing new hair growth on the crown area and side front temples where it was the thinnest.
