Gen X here. I used to have so many pairs of Docs in varying styles as a teen and 20-something in the 1990's. I loved them. The leather is sturdy and as you wear them/break them in, they start forming themselves to the shape of your foot and ankle for a custom fit. The soles are air cushioned and really nice if you have to be on your feet a lot. I've seen people asking if these are real Docs and about the sizing. Yes, as far as I can tell, they are legit. They were packaged well, are well made and feel good on. I really like the fluff... So cozy. As for sizing, I wear a 7.5 US women. I always used to buy size 7 Docs back in "the old days." Now that I'm older and a little fatter I decided to go ahead and get a size 8. Well... I probably should have got a size 7, after all. They are a little bit roomy in the heal and toe. I'm not going to trade them, though. I got these for autumn and winter and plan to be wearing thick socks most of the time. So, I believe it really comes down to preference. If you are a half size and want a more snug fit, go down. If you want/need wiggle room, go up. Just be sure that when you break them in you lace them properly so you don't end up with a boot that chafes your ankles. Read more

If these are 'fakes' like some people suspect, then it's well done to the point of being worth just as much imo. I posted the noted stickers of concern that another buyer mentioned so people can see what they are (except couldn't get the toe ones out, but I wouldn't have even known they were there if someone hadn't said it and I really dony care). I'm not sure what the one means, but I'd suspect you don't usually see at least the other in most shoes because they're not furry like these. The symbol one might confirm that some of these could be quality control rejects, because I didn't see the yellow QC sticker anywhere, but those fall off easily and that was the only sus thing I could find aside from not getting an extra pair of yellow laces. My laces are a little thicc and did come untied once during the day - which, I recall my 90s pair never doing that. But those were direct from the UK and lasted like 20 years. I'm hoping the quality of this new pair will match up but only time will tell. The leather looks extremely smooth and nice. I may take a walk to the store and just do a side by side comparison, but I could only find this color in this size here. The fur does cover the whole tongue of the boot, they look dope. At first the toe arch was tight indeed, because of the fur. They're nice and warm and easy to walk in. The toe arch loosened up after one wear and wasn't noticeable after the second wear. These ARE a lot more uncomfortable in terms of sole support compared to my doc Chelsea platforms with air insole. Those have a rocking motion to the sole and padding for the ball of my foot. I put ortho heel slips in the heel for extra support on these, but because the sole bends like a normal pair of docs, I may need a full insert and am unsure if that'll fit. being an older woman who still wants fashion it has been a challenge finding shoes/boots that your feet dont hurt after awhile. I now own a lot of Ariat, Ryka and Doc's because all offer support, fashion and are made well and last. This is my 3rd pair of Doc's and I love them. I was looking for a boot to wear outdoors and tried many hiking boots. The problem with hiking boot for cold weather is they are so heavy. Doc's are not, plus this style has the furry inside which keeps your feet warm. And Doc's do form to your feet. Are they waterproof, no but I dont care. I could wear a pair of waterproof socks if i am concerned. I wore a pair of Doc's on my motorcycle in a downpour for hours and once they dried out, they were fine.
