These are excellent flippers that are worth the money! I tried the speedo switchblade fin first and they just weren't comfortable. The toe opening was too sharp and stiff. These flippers are completely silicone, but they don't feel flimsy and cheap as the silicone is quite thick everywhere. At first I thought they were too small just standing in them on dry land. They were my typical size, but my toes went right to the end of each toe box and poked into them a little. I decided to try and swim with them and they actually felt perfect in the pool. The larger size wouldn't be as snug, but that would probably work against me in the pool. As is, they didn't budge a bit while swimming and gave me an excellent work out in my thighs and core muscles, plus added speed while using them. Very enjoyable experience. A little bit heavy and strange felling with the back straps. I use to have long size for my swimmingpool training and I wanted to try the short fins. The do the job and I notice the work on my legs.
