Installation was straight forward, photos on manual helped with each step. Ran into small problem with mismatched bolts compared to what was shown in instructions, which helped in that I had to read ahead through the whole installation process instead of installing step by step to make sure I didn't need to run to the hardware store. Installation: The intake came well packaged, nothing was damaged or out of place in the box. The installation was straight forward. I staged everything inside before going out to the car to bolt it down. I did use a socket extension set to install it, it made things a lot easier and faster. Initially everything worked great, but then the intake started to vibrate when getting close to red line. I went back and tightened everything extra snug and haven't had any issues since. The top of the shield does come in contact with sound dampening padding on the bottom side of the hood. After a month it hasn't ripped or anything, the rubber edge on the shield has only left an indentation. Not really an issue, I will probably remove the shielding eventually. Performance: I have never had my car on the dyno, but K&N guarantees HP gains. I'm sure it's there, but with no other mods to my car I don't notice much difference in performance. I definitely have noticed that the throttle response is snappier and power seems to come on smoother than before. Also, an added bonus of some wooshy noises. Read more
