This is good stuff. It's used in hospitals to kill bacteria prior to and post surgery. It keeps bacteria from forming for a long time, up to 3 days according to the label. It doesn't lather up easily unless you first wash with regular soap and water,then use it. But it definitely works. Helps to kill odor too. I discovered Hibiclens during Covid. Like everyone else I was having trouble finding any kind of hand sanitizer. I managed to find a gallon jug of Hibiclens here on Amazon. I purchased a jug out of desperation as my partner is immune compromised and I have an elderly mother (85 at the time). I have been showering with it ever since. ***Disclaimer It does say not to use it for a prolonged time on larger bodily areas. I continued to use it as I discovered it was shrinking skin tags I have on my neck (and a few other areas). So it has been awhile and the skin tags continue to shrink (albeit very slowly) but the bonus is I have had no new ones form. I also work in a residential setting around individuals of all ages and walks of life. Recently a bad stomach bug and several flu strains went around at the same time. Residents and staff were all sick multiple times within just a month from the various strains. I did not lose a single day of work, never got sick and never transferred any germs to family at home. I can’t prove it has to do with the Hibiclens but I am pretty sure it does have everything to do with why I did not get sick. Previously working in a child care setting I was constantly getting sick from all the bugs that went around so I know I am not immune. Even after washing my armpits in the shower well, sometimes I cannot get rid of the BO. This product is a sure way to take care of that. I pour a little in my hands, rub it in my armpits, and let it sit for a few minutes while I wash my hair. I rinse it off and have zero BO. It kills all the odor causing bacteria on my skin, just as it kills germs for surgeons who use this to wash their hands before surgery. It smells pleasant, has a watery consistency (a little thicker than water), and I have purchased many bottles. They last a really long time if you only use it like I do and is a good value for the money. I wish they made it in more of a gel formula so it was easier to apply, but that doesn't really affect me too much. Was surprised to find a bit of a leak - I think the bottle inside was slightly loose and the box was placed upside down for some part of the journey.
