So, I've used the Intensive Balm before, and was looking for something a little lighter. When I opened this and squirted the first pump into my hand, I was not impressed. When I started to rub it onto my leg, I was disappointed. "Oh, no...." I thought. "I've gotten lotion that's too light. This is like those cheap water based lotions that leave a waxy layer on your skin that melts and feels terrible and slimey when it's hot outside!" How very wrong I was. A couple of seconds later the watery/waxy feeling went away, and I realized that it now had a creamy oil based feeling, despite how well it was absorbing and melting into my skin. It was magical....all of the benefits of a heavy cream without the gross "I've been coated in lard and now I'll be sticky all day" feeling. I put this on after my shower, right before I go to bed....and I wake up feeling soft and smooth.
