I ordered the USA made version called heavy duty. The item does not reflect this. There were already stress/crack lines near the screw. (brand new from box) The inside of the frame have sharp edges, The space pen refill is proprietary to this pen so you have to order specific replacement inks not just normal space pen refills. The design of the pen is horrible, the ink has plastic thread that are flimsy. After a few twists the pen failed to extend because the thread gets mangled. I don't think this is worth even $10 let alone the msrp asking price. I don't have the non heavy duty version to compare but it seems like they just swapped in brass and added "space pen ink" to the basic version. Read more

Love flippng this around at my desk. Its certainly weighted differently than an actual balisong, but is still flippable. Its a bit uncomfortable to write with, but manageable. I figure anyone buying this cares less about how well it writes and more that it is flippable. Read more

Fun, simple little toy. I never received any complaints for using it at work and it was just nice and cool to have there sometimes. As a pen, it gets the job done, but it's definitely not a great option as a balisong trainer as it is made of cheap plastic and is very lightweight (which is usually not an enthusiast preference) but it's nice to have. Its tradeoff for not being a good balisong trainer is that it can be used to write with and it is not very expensive. It would be rather costly if it was a regular pen, but, you see, this is no regular pen. Based on my understanding, the Heavy Duty BaliYo is probably a better enthusiast option but it will obviously cost more. I've had this for a few months, I stopped using it regularly but it hasn't broken on me so that's good. I don't really use it anymore because I haven't been bringing it to work and because now I have better balisong trainer options for at home and outside of work. I may eventually buy the heavy duty one some day. Read more

Now if you where me you would think this is made of metal or higher quality than the many other 15 dollar listings. But no this is the same product but for triple the price. The pen itself works fine. Not the most conventional shape but you get used to it. This seller just charges more for the same pen. Read more

My kid needed something to keep his hands busy and this has been better than a fidget spinner. He loves learning new tricks with it and the weight and smooth folding action is great. It isn't solid metal so it doesn't weigh too much, but it has enough heft to make the folding and spinning tricks work out smoothly. Read more
