Specifically, I bought this ball for a neighborhood volleyball tournament. Generally, I bought this ball because I have an indoor ball, but no outdoor ball. This ball is fantastic. I read reviews for numerous top outdoor balls, and this one ended up at the top of my list. The feel is very interesting, because it's solid, almost hard, but causes very little sting when you hit it (or get hit by it). It's grippy (has some texture to it), but easy to play with. Everyone whose played with it commented on how much they like it, and that's my sentiment as well. If you're looking for a quality outdoor ball (and don't mind paying for it), this is the one to go with. One note, and really the only thing that I don't love: the ball seems to have the faintest lump to it. While palming it (I like tossing it around), I detected a very slight lump. It's not really noticeable to the eye, just by hand (my girlfriend confirmed). Not sure if that's from shipping or storage (though the ball did come in its own box, just like you'd find at a sporting goods store), but it's not affected my play at all. Perfect ball in all regards. Roundness, durability, soft-yet firm. Strike control goes up significantly vs walmart balls. Worth every penny if you are serious about beach volleyball. Too expensive if you play with a bunch of casuals and they will start playing soccer with it. But if your group can respect a good bad, this is a must own. Read more
