It’s gonna take a while to get used to the feeling of a boot that actually feels right, especially after contending with a couple years of a Walmart-level fall boot sized a lil larger than the tag said it was. I’m normally a 10.5 but I might be widening from my normal fit a bit, because the overall fit was a tad tight with some grey crew work socks and a custom insole, which provided what felt like serviceable but not spectacular arch support on their own. I always allow for time and normal use before I give my real reviews or necessary updates, so let’s see how I feel about these as Spring ends. UPDATE (23 Dec 22): Welp, I gave these a go on a day after a blizzard and cold snap settled over Chicago. My feet did get cold (a -31 wind chill will do that for you wearing apparel not made for such conditions) but they passed the real test, in that they didn't absorb the snow, which works fine for me, because my socks won't get wet, and we all know what kinda bad things can happen after that. To clarify an earlier point, the boots themselves provide the "serviceable" arch support on their own, but with a custom insole and work grade socks, these feel absolutely comfortable and not overly heavy on my feet. Again, durability is a top concern with boots as I tend to wear them three seasons out of any given year, so once the snow is gone, I'll have a more definitive review. UPDATE (27 Dec 22): Welp, that didn’t take long…I’m sorry but, while these are water-repellent to a degree, whatever this outer coating is, is rather weak and easily scuffed. I’m no expert, but that leads to spots where whatever waterproof quality there claims to be, ain’t. These are absolutely for fashion and spring/fall at best. I can’t endorse these for more than that. They look nice and are comfortable, but durable? Ion think so. They sure ain’t meant for a cold snowy snap like this at all…then again, some Timberland styles ain’t, anyway. Took away a star for it. UPDATE (8 May 24): Peeps, I take back what I said about durability. No, these ain’t geared for any wet or extreme cold weather comfort, but they are DURABLE and COMFORTABLE with the insole arch support I use. I don’t remember how much these were when I bought them back then, but I WILL get another pair before the summer ends. And yes…they can have that fourth star back!! Read more

Have bought these Timberland boots for quite a few years (probably my 6th pair) and always soft light and comfortable, my only concern is they are not the most waterproof and past experience with these is that the toe rubber in the front of the boots starts to detach after about 2-3 months of use then they can start to leak so not the best in that respect. But comfort and lightness is great and i usually get about 6 months use from these walking daily with dogs in New Forest. Quite often put the older pair away form May- September then use a newer pair for the Winter. Read more
