While not the showiest of boots, if you keep them waxed they look great. I find that they hold up very well in wet conditions, allowing me to walk through deep puddles or stony creeks without immediately waterlogging. They are a great boot at a pretty decent price. The leather seems very thick and durable, maybe a bit stiff but I think they will be great once they are broke in. I needed a black shoe that was dressy enough to wear at work and I wanted a boot. My wife has a lot of Ariats and I actually have one pair of western boots that they make and have always liked their comfort and quality so I wanted to try these out. I am somewhat hesitant to buy shoes online because different manufacturers and even different styles from the same manufacturer can make a big difference in which size I need. I had tried on a couple of Ariats at a local store to see how there sizes ran, but they did not have this particular style in stock. After some deliberation, I decided to go ahead and order the 10.5 EE's online from Amazon. When they arrived I tried them on and was concerned that they might be too big because they were so comfortable right out of the box; not tight anywhere. After wearing them around the hose for a day I thought that they must might work so I wore them to work for a few days and they are fitting great; not too loose and not too tight.
