This is the best to use on paper cuts and hang nails and scrapes on hands because bandages don't stay on if you're washing your hands all day. I find it doesn't usually sting until the *second* time you apply it to a small cut, but I'm ok with it. Irritating little wounds heal faster and hurt less once they're coated with this. I also use it for scrapes elsewhere, mostly because I get annoyed with having bandages on. It's best for small wounds, obviously, but I find it helps me avoid scarring, which my skin is prone to. It's also more discreet than a bandage if it's somewhere visible, like the arms or face. It can still be seen but less obviously. It's a great addition to a travel or first aid kit because it doesn't take up much space and it's so useful. Plus, I always seem to hurt my hands carrying suitcases and such on a trip! I just wish there could be a plastic version because I'm always afraid I'll break the glass bottle on a trip. Hasn't happened yet, though.
